PASTA EXPERIENCE IN GRAGNANO

Our tours have been designed for customers who want to learn how wonderful our land offers and in this specific case we go to visit a family business born 200 years ago that marked the history of gragnano pasta, in fact PASTA CUOMO is a bicentennial company, founded in 1820 and located in the famous city of Gragnano , recognized in the world as a city of pasta. Gragnano In Italy is in fact the city that produces and exports the greatest amount of pasta, especially macaroni.

Since 2013, the typicality of pasta production has had the European recognition of the protected geographical indication "Pasta di Gragnano.La pasta production dates back to the end of the 16th century when the first family-run pasta factories appear, The production of "white gold" was and is favored by particular climatic conditions, such as a light moist air that allows the slow drying of macaroni , and the quality of the spring water that fed the mills and helped to give a particular taste to the dough. The pasta industry was aided by 30 water mills, the ruins of some of these can be admired in the "Valley of the Mills".

Pasta becomes a real emotional experience where the goal is not only to eat it but to live it.
